In all honesty, this webtoon should get extra points for having a unique premise and not being totally overloaded with sex.
Main character Ma Dongjae only ever seems to fall for straight guys. When a gay guy approaches him at the beginning he bolts (because he’s not looking for hook-ups, he wants all the romance he can get) yet seeing this man again in a different setting has Dongjae falling for him.
I can’t claim to be very familiar with the trauma and mental illnesses discussed within this work but it seemed pretty grounded in reality in my non-expert opinion.
The two different relationships Dongjae had with Taejun and Taeoh played out in really interesting ways and I think the progression felt really natural in the setting.
I really enjoyed the character designs — even Dongjae’s uncool clothes and his friend Suha’s scruffy style.
The only wish I had for this was a development in the yuri side ship but I know better than to expect that as a possibility even if there was a chapter count over 30.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Perfectly Broken Love!
