This must be the first transmigration webtoon I’ve mentioned on this blog which, when considering how ubiquitous the trope is, must be some sort of achievement. I’m glad Stuck in My Sister’s Dating Sim is the first as it is just such a solid read.
The main character is, as the title suggests, sucked into their sister’s dating sim game as some side character who meets a grizzly end. Naturally, there’s no way that can happen! So Maythan (or Nather as I keep wanting to call him because Traitors has irreparably rewired my brain) needs to change the story just enough to save himself and his sweet cousin who is actually the evil villainess of the game.
There’s a yuri side-ship and some really fun world building going on here. If I’m completely honest, the harem(?) aspect to the story with all three male love interests falling for Nather did little to interest me. Sure, it was a great set-up for comedy, but that wasn’t what had me eating this up like Hephaestion with a chicken.
I really wanted to know what happened! I wanted the yuri ship to go somewhere, I wanted Maythan to survive, I wanted to know just how far the story could deviate from the original narrative.
The ending choked me up a bit, I’m not going to lie. It was a world I was so happy to get absorbed in (through reading! Please don’t transmigrate me!)
