I’ll be upfront about this one seeing as it’s probably an acquired taste. Showered with Love is a webtoon where the main couple’s relationship is facilitated by a tentacle monster.
Yoo Dohwa is a scientist who studies monsters. He is attacked by a tentacle monster and ends up in charge of a juvenile tentacle monster. Dohwa can’t look after the little baby monster alone so the chief researcher’s son Cha Gyeonghwan, a beefy guy who gets rough and tumble with monsters in the wild, is tasked with watching over Dohwa.
The domestic setting is very cute, especially seeing how awkward it is to live with a stranger. The little baby monster was very expressive and adorable if you forget about what it needs.
I wasn’t expecting it but the climax of the story had a fair bit of danger and excitement, though it got wrapped up without my heart stopping.
It’s a pretty quick read so I’d definitely recommend it.
