This drama wasn’t what I expected and that is certainly a good thing. I really liked the exploration of relationships between Ban Jieum and the people from her past lives.
After watching this so long ago, there is still a scene stuck in my head that makes me so sad but I love it. Jieum seeing her mother from the life just before her 19th life killed me. But this drama wasn’t all angst and tragedy.
The pacing was solid and the scattered reveals of elements of past lives was definitely entertaining. I did feel that the ultimate conflict was resolved too easily but I will never hold anything against queen Shin Hyesun.
