I wanted to watch this drama for one reason and one reason alone: Jang Daah.
In Pyramid Game Jang Daah was an incredible villain. To this day I’m still obsessed with her enraged facial twitches. In My Troublesome Star she is not a villain. She actually has a pretty small role seeing as she is the version of the MC from like 20-odd years ago.
Uhm Junghwa/Jang Daah play a top actress of 1999(?) who wakes up in hospital a billion years later.
The tone bungees from quirky and silly to serious and scary. The main couple were very charming and I was looking forward to their interactions as they grew closer together.
It was a super fun drama. I do have one little niggle about the resolution of the big mystery but overall it was a really great drama.
