This was the first drama I watched of the year and it was quite charming despite my nitpicks. The story itself was interesting and there were some character dynamics I was eager to watch play out over the course of the runtime.
Park Minyoung’s unnaturally round hairline captured my attention more effectively than Go Kyungpo did in just about every scene and, by the end of it, I was more annoyed at myself for rooting so hard for the second male lead.
I really hate these dramas where they position a handsome, charismatic, and intriguing character as the second ML (male lead) but the main character insists falling for the tepid dullard sucking all vibrancy from the world around him.
I know I started this post saying this drama was charming but I’m not lying. It was cute and a fun time just as much as it was frustrating to watch the main character choose the wrong guy. I don’t think we’ll ever escape Kdrama writers from offering shoddy justifications (full of holes) to make us want the main couple together but maybe one day we’ll get to watch the MC choose the right guy!
